From our farmers
Located in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas, a lush and mountainous region with a long tradition of coffee cultivation, Rancho Morelia is one of the most iconic coffee farms in the country. The Cardenas family has already 3 generations involved in this family business after its foundation more than 40 years ago.
To achieve a high-quality coffee, Rancho Morelia invests heavily in innovation to maximize the natural benefits of the volcanic soils present in the region. Using no agrochemical additives (zero fertilizers, zero pesticides), coffee cherries are processed using the wet milling method: the pulp is removed and then the bean is fermented in water for 36 hours, for being dried outdoors for up to 2 weeks.
Also stocked at The Culinary Collective, Sankt-Johannis-Mühlgasse, Nürnberg, Germany.
