When art and science get together

Since I was a little kid I had an clear interest for doing creative and artistic things, so letting my imagination fly has been essential for my mental health.

Whenever I write or paint, I experience a very nice fulfillment even though that decision requires going later to bed and sacrifice hours of sleep, but I feel that I did something useful for my time. Of course it is not always like this because I tend not force these things to happen, so therefore allow myself to relax and listening to music or even watching a movie, doing “nothing” (many times, doing nothing is also giving you a break to regain energies).

In my moments of writing, sometimes I get more technical (always with a spice of storytelling) and try to combine my two passions: Marketing and coffee. As both worlds are a great mix of art and science, I love to bring together topics like branding, retail, product, pricing, and place it to the coffee industry in this case. I used to write articles for business magazines back in Argentina and was a great exercise to do benchmarking across all industries, so you can imagine the learning benefit is endless.

But in this within this frame, I would like to share with you a paper I wrote for a specialized coffee magazine some years ago. Although the information was translated into Spanish and Portuguese, I will limit myself to share the English version, which was the original one.
